All About Teamwork -- April 18, 2006

Behind every able man, there are always other able men. -- Chinese Proverb

Benjamin Franklin said, "Nothing gives an author so much pleasure as to find his works respectfully quoted by other learned authors." If you guessed old Ben said that in his almanac you'd be right. He's tickled pink and pleased as punch because he is one of the most oft-quoted guys out there. Sorry. This site's all about quotes, not clichés.

Used judiciously, quotations can enliven our writing. Quotations package profound ideas in a few words. I said that, not Benjamin. But Winston Churchill said, "The quotations when engraved upon the memory give good thoughts. They also make you anxious to read the authors and look for more." That's good too.

Whether you're an author, a speaker, a student or just someone who loves quotations, please enjoy our site. We'll be growing in the months to come so please check back often. Come each day to read our daily quote. You can also subscribe to our daily email quote service. Each week we choose a new topic and send seven great quotes right to your mailbox. They are all about the same topic. Gee, sounds like a good name. All About Topics. That doesn't work. How about All About Quotes? Perfect.

We're glad you stopped by.

Aloha,
Carmen Leal & Gary Scott
